Dear Parents, Guardians and Learners

As we start the new year, may 2020 school year meet all your dreams and expectations. Good luck with all the challenges ahead - be assured tha the school will walk every step with you, ready to equip with you with support, advice and assistance. Warm welcome back to all our learners, parents ans staff members who contribute to making Ventersburg Combined School vibrant and center of excellence. We celebrate many firsts for 2020; first school day for our kids in Grade 1 and our first Grade 12 learners, we only wish them the best in 2020.

Admission of learners for 2019 wen well without hiccups, we enrolled about 960 learners for this academic year and in essence our school is full. On the new appointments and teachers, we have appointed Me DR Sompane (Departmental Head for Accounting, Business Studies, Tourism, and Economics), Me van der Berg (2^nd acting Princial, Me MP Leroi (Departmental Head for Languages and LO) and Mr TJ Khamadi (Departmental Head for Maths, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Geography). Congratulations for the new Departmental Heads.

1. Uniform

VCS uniform us her identity! As part of our standard and quality assuarnce if the school, learners are exxpected to come to school well groomed at all times. On the strength of this we solicit that parents make conscious effort towards procuring uniforms for their child(ren) at the beginning of the year. Only approved school unform is allowed that is worn on Mon, Tue and Fri and Wed and Fri is reserved for sports attire.

2. Extended Hour Program for Grade 12

We are delighted to uniform our esteemed parents that the extra lessons is a standing program for Grade 12 that will be sustained fro this term onwards. In order to prepare our learners for the Matric examination, we shall have Extended Classes and parents are required to support this school program.

3. LTSM

We humbly reques our beloved parents to give financial support and any donation will be highly appreciated. We duly inform parents about the non-delivery of stationery to our school and thus make things difficult for us to execute teaching effectively. As a result we urgently require the following stationery in order to suppliment our resources: black oens, pencils, 3 quires notebook.

4. Discipline

We have sustained a desciplined atmosphere with significant improvement in learner desclipline over the years. We attribute this to the support of parents who inculcate sound morals in their childrens. We encourage our parents to continue with this practice at home in order to produce better Ventersburg Combined children.

We have to comment the efforts of our parents on the slight improvements in learner pactuality in 2019. We still appeal to parents to commit more and make sure that all learners are on time everyday. School starts at 07:45 am and all learners are expected to be at school by 07:40. Late-coming is consideered a form of ill-discipline. s a follow up, the policy of locking the school gates after 07:45 will be fully enforced>.

5. Conclusion

I am really enthused by the many exciting initiatives for our school that are in the pipeline, all of which are intended to meet the needs of our learners, community stakeholders and support the further development and advancement of our school.
